Chelsea, AL — The U.S. Postal Service is considering the potential relocation of retail services currently provided at the Chelsea, AL Main Post Office, 16738 Hwy 280, Chelsea,   AL 35043-8308.

The U.S. Postal Service invites the community to learn more about this project at a public meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, at the Chelsea City Hall, 11611 Chelsea Road, Chelsea, AL 35043-7321.

The U.S. Postal Service is obligated by law to collect and consider community input any  time we make a tentative decision to relocate retail services. One way the Postal Service can fulfill this obligation is to hold a public meeting. During the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic, we recommend that attendees at these public meetings follow all applicable state or local municipal orders currently in place regarding social distancing, gathering size, and the wearing of masks or face coverings.

For 30 days after the public meeting, community members may submit written comments to the address below for the U.S. Postal Service’s consideration prior to its final decision:
