Huntsville, AL --- Postal officials invite job seekers to learn more about current employment opportunities in the Huntsville area this Saturday, July 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the parking lot of the Huntsville General Mail Facility (GMF), 3408 Wall Triana Highway, Huntsville, AL 35813.

As part of its 10-year plan, “Delivering for America,” the U.S. Postal Service is hosting a job fair at this location. Postal officials will be onsite to share information about delivery and/or retail positions in Athens, Decatur, Elkmont, Florence, Hartselle, Harvest, Huntsville, Madison, and Owens Cross Roads in the $18-$19 salary range.

“The U.S. Postal Service consistently has been named one of the most trusted brands in America,” said Alabama-Mississippi District Manager June Martindale. “Our job fairs help us build a more stable and empowered workforce. We will have staff and computers onsite to assist job seekers with the online application process.”

Job seekers may bring their children who will have an opportunity to be photographed with a postal vehicle staged in the parking lot. Postal-themed coloring pages also will be distributed to children for their entertainment.
