Background:

As Childersburg, AL Postmaster, Dobbs manages 21 dedicated employees who provide outstanding delivery and retail service in Alpine, AL and outstanding retail service in Bon Air, AL.  A 29-year employee, Dobbs started her postal career in 1995 as a Data Conversion Operator at the Remote Encoding Center in Birmingham, AL.  She later transferred to the Birmingham Processing and Distribution Center as a mail processing clerk.  While in Birmingham, she was Acting Supervisor, Distribution Operations and worked in other administrative roles for District personnel. Dobbs transferred to Mississippi and worked as a clerk in North Mississippi before being promoted to Supervisor, Distribution Operations at the Tupelo, MS General Mail Facility.

Dobbs held numerous Officer in Charge (OIC) positions prior to her first Postmaster promotion in Plantersville, MS and has held several positions of increasing responsibility. Dobbs’ previous position was Manager, Post Office Operations in North Mississippi under the Alabama-Mississippi District.
