USPS Plans to Relocate Retail Services For Munford, AL Main Post Office

MUNFORD, AL --- The U.S. Postal Service will proceed with the relocation of retail services currently serving the public at the Munford, AL Main Post Office at 33 Cedars Road, Munford, AL 36328. Retail operations are being relocated due to non-lease renewal.

The Postal Service anticipates an announcement of the new location in the near future.

The Postal Service mailed a postcard to local residents and businesses asking for community input on August 27, 2024. The Postal Service properly considered community input, and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives. The new location will ensure that adequate and affordable postal services are as efficient and economical as possible. Until a new location is announced, customers may continue to conduct retail transactions at the Munford, AL Main Post Office Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Postal service is not available on Sunday.
