USPS Seeks Customer Feedback On New Home for Scott, MS Main Post Office

Scott, MS --- The U.S. Postal Service is considering relocating the retail services formerly provided at the Scott, MS Main Post Office at One Cotton Row, Scott, MS 38772. The Postal Service is considering relocation because the current facility lease was not renewed.

Currently, customers are conducting retail transactions, including mailing letters and shipping packages, at the Shaw Post Office, 100 Faison Street, Shaw, MS 38773. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The post office is closed on Sunday.

The Postal Service proposes moving to a 700-square-foot building at 206 First Street, Scott, MS 38772.  

Individuals who live and/or work in Scott, MS were recently mailed a postcard which gave them an opportunity to share their opinions through June 8, 2025, which is the deadline to provide comments.
