OWENS CROSS ROADS, AL — The Postal Service has made a final decision to relocate retail services from the Owens Cross Roads Post Office, 8396 Highway 431 S, Owens Cross Roads AL 35763, which is north of the City Building at 9032 US 431 S as the new potential location. If this location is not adequate or an agreement cannot be reached with its owner, the Postal Service will consider other sites.

In December 2025, the Postal Service mailed a postcard to residents, inviting them to provide feedback on the relocation of the retail operation from the current location. The Postal Service properly considered community input, and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives.

The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as were provided to customers at the Owens Cross Roads Post Office. Retail hours of operation at the current location are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Post Office is closed on Sunday.
