JONESBORO, AR –The Postal Service announced today that, in an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety and well-being of postal customers and employees, retail and delivery services at the Caraway Post Office will be temporarily adjusted. This is due to structural damage at the facility, located at 2404 Race St., Jonesboro, AR 72401, which were caused by a recent tornado.
Customers with a P.O. Box at the Caraway office may continue to pick up their P.O. Box mail at that location, after structural engineers determined it is safe to do so; however, customers picking up P.O. Box mail must use the entrance on the west side of the building. Access via the front entrance will be temporarily unavailable. On Monday, March 30, depending on progress of repairs, access may be limited. We anticipate that the P.O. Box lobby will be accessible at its normal hours, beginning Tuesday, March 31.
We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience to our customers. The safety and well-being of both customers and employees is of the utmost importance to the Postal Service. The Postal Service appreciates its customers and thanks them for their patience as restoration efforts are underway. There is no timeline for when retail and delivery services at the Caraway Post Office will resume, but the Postal Service will continue to provide updates to customers.
