UPDATE: USPS Temporarily Adjusts Operations In Jonesboro

JONESBORO, AR – This update is being provided for postal customers served by the Caraway Jonesboro Post Office, located at 2404 Race St., Jonesboro, AR 72401. The facility was damaged by a tornado on March 28.  The Postal Service previously announced a temporary suspension of service at the Caraway P.O.

We are pleased to report that, beginning on Wednesday, April 1, retail services will be provided by a Mobile Retail Unit (MRU) located on the premises of the Caraway P.O., in the parking lot. Hours of operation for the MRU are: Mon-Fri 8:30AM – 5:00PM, Sat 9:00AM – 12:00PM.

In addition, customers may also collect their Notice Left mail and/or items for an undeliverable street address (due to storm damage/inaccessibility).  This mail can be picked up at the service door inside the Caraway P.O., during the hours listed above.

Customers with a P.O. Box at the Caraway office may continue to pick up their P.O. Box mail at that location.  Customers must access the building through the west entrance. Delivery operations have been temporarily relocated to the Northeast Arkansas Post Office at 3405 Moore Rd,, Jonesboro, AR 72401.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience to our customers. The safety and well-being of both customers and employees is of the utmost importance to the Postal Service. The Postal Service appreciates its customers and thanks them for their patience as restoration efforts are underway. There is no timeline for when repairs will be completed, but the Postal Service will continue to provide updates to customers.

Customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) to obtain information, including available, alternate Post Office retail locations, or check the Postal Service website, www.usps.com, the Post Office that’s always open. The Postal Service’s smartphone app makes it even quicker to use the most popular functions on www.usps.com, anytime and anywhere.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
