USPS Little Rock Hosts Job Fair to Hire 150 Drivers

Rare Opportunity to Join the Postal Service as a Career Employee

LITTLE ROCK, AR – This is not your regular job fair. This one offers job seekers the rare opportunity to join the Postal Service as career employees. If you are ready for a rewarding career with competitive pay, generous benefits, and more, do not miss it.

USPS is seeking to fill 150 positions for Tractor Trailer Operators (TTO) and Postal Vehicle Operators (PVO) in Little Rock, Batesville, Camden, Hot Springs, Pine Bluff and Russellville.

The starting pay for a TTO is $31.47 per hour, paid bi-weekly, and for a PVO is $26.61 per hour.  Unlike most new hires, the successful applicants for these positions will be hired as career employees with full benefits and paid holidays.

To assist potential applicants, Postal officials are holding a Job Fair to answer questions about employment opportunities and to assist with the application process.

Tractor-Trailer Operator (TTO) –  At $31.47 per hour, a TTO regularly operates a heavy-duty tractor-trailer either in over-the-road service, city shuttle service or trailer spotting operations. Applicants must have a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and two years of general driving experience with at least one year full time or equivalent. A minimum of six months of the required total driving experience must be in a tractor-trailer.

Postal Vehicle Operator (PVO) – At $26.61 per hour, a PVO regularly operates Postal and leased vehicles to pick up and transfer bulk quantities of mail between Postal and non-Postal facilities. A PVO must have the ability to safely and responsibly operate vehicles, perform basic operator maintenance such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure, and fueling and cleaning vehicles.
