Presidents’ Day Holiday

Postal Service Will Collect Mail from Blue Collection Boxes and Post Offices in Several New Mexico Cities on Monday, Feb. 18

On Monday, Feb. 18, U.S. Postal Service employees will make special pickups from blue USPS collection boxes and from Post Office mail drops in several communities across New Mexico for the convenience of USPS customers.

“Even though Monday is a federal holiday, we understand many customers will have mailings they’d like to send out,” Albuquerque Postmaster Chris Yazzie said today. “We hope our customers will take advantage of these extra services. We appreciate their business.”
A list of New Mexico Post Office locations offering Monday pickup of the blue collection boxes is below.

USPS retail locations will be closed for Monday’s holiday and resume regular business hours on Tuesday, Feb. 19. However, selected Post Offices offer self-service kiosks that are available 24/7, where customers can buy postage stamps and also ship small- and medium-sized parcels using a debit or credit card. To find the kiosks available nearest them, customers can do a location search at usps.com or use the USPS mobile app, available for Android or iPhones.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
