Emergency Suspension for Duncan, AZ Post Office

No injuries. Building closed until further notice.

Duncan, AZ – The U.S. Postal Service has implemented an emergency suspension of the Duncan, AZ Post Office effective immediately.

As a result of flooding due to heavy rain, the Postal Service is providing the following arrangements for customers served by the Duncan Post Office located at 209 Main St, Safford, AZ 85534

Beginning today, August 22, 2022, and continuing until further notice, operations at the Duncan Post Office will be conducted at the Safford, AZ, Post Office located at 504 S 5th Ave, Safford AZ 85546.  The Safford Post Office is open Mon-Fri: 8:30am–4:30pm and Sat 10:00am – 12:00pm. 

Customers from Duncan who are picking up mail and packages at the Safford Post Office must do so at the retail counter during normal business hours.  A valid picture ID is required to pick up mail.

This is an emergency suspension of this office, not a permanent closure. Additional details will be provided as they become available regarding the reopening of this office.

Using usps.com, customers can look up a ZIP Code, request free Priority Mail Flat Rate packaging, hold their mail, set up Premium Forwarding Service, and even print a mailing label and pay for postage using Click-N-Ship.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
