Postal Service Announces Final Decision to Relocate Ash Fork, AZ, Post Office

ASH FORK, AZ — In accordance with 39 C.F.R. 241.4 this is the United States Postal Service’s final decision to relocate retail services from 435 Park Ave, Ash Fork, AZ, to 765 W Old Hwy 66, Ash Fork, AZ 86320. The Postal Service must relocate because the current facility is too small for its operations.

The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as are currently provided to customers at the existing location. Additionally, the Postal Service plans to continue services at the existing Post Office until the replacement facility is open and operating as a Post Office.

While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the Ash Fork community, the Postal Service properly considered community input and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives. Postal Service operations are not supported by tax dollars. To be self-sustaining, the Postal Service must make decisions that ensure it provides adequate and affordable postal services in a manner that is as efficient and economical as possible.
