TUCSON, AZ – In accordance with 39 C.F.R. 241.4 this is the United States Postal Service’s final decision to relocate retail services from 8235 S Houghton Rd, Ste 100, Tucson, AZ 85747. The Postal Service has initially identified 9210 S Houghton Rd, Ste 110, Tucson, AZ 85747, as the new location. If this location is not adequate or an agreement cannot be reached with its owner, the Postal Service will consider other sites.

Due to a loss of lease, the Postal Service must relocate to a new facility. The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as were previously provided to our customers at the former location. Additionally, the Postal Service plans to continue services at the Vail Post Office until the replacement facility is open and operating as a Post Office.

While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the Tucson community, the Postal Service properly considered community input and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives. Postal Service operations are not supported by tax dollars. To be self-sustaining, the Postal Service must make decisions that ensure it provides adequate and affordable postal services in a manner that is as efficient and economical as possible.
