FREDONIA, AZ – Jennifer McCormick Ohman was recently named as Postmaster for Fredonia, AZ, continuing a long line of service to the community since postal services were established in 1892.

Ohman began her postal career in 1997 as a clerk in Fredonia. In 2013, she was selected as the Postmaster for Colorado City, AZ. Being a part of the Postal Service is a part of the family; her husband is a retired postal employee of 37 years.

“Have grown up in this community, working here is a way for me to help the people that helped raise me. I worked here for 16 years before going to Colorado City,” Ohman said.  “Getting the Postmaster job is just ‘coming home’ for me.”

The Kanab, UT, resident is active in the community having coached youth basketball, baseball, and swim teams. She also enjoys reading, taking care of her grandchildren, doing puzzles, and kayaking. “I love being out on the water.”

The office has one employee, supports about 700 P.O. Boxes, and oversees highway contract routes serving the area.

The Fredonia Post Office is located at 85 N Main St., Fredonia, AZ. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm/2:30 pm – 4:30 pm; closed Saturday and Sunday.
