Most Post Offices reopen following aftermath of Russian River flood

GUERNEVILLE, CA — Most mail service will resume on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in affected areas around the Guerneville area. Mail that was temporarily held at the North Bay Mail Processing Facility at 1150 North McDowell Blvd., Petaluma, CA 94999 will be available for pickup at the following Post Offices:

  • Cazadero Post Office, 6145 Cazadero Hwy, Cazadero, CA 95421
  • Monte Rio Post Office, 19420 Highway 116, Monte Rio, CA 95462
  • Jenner Post Office, 10439  Highway 1, Jenner, CA 95450
  • Duncans Mills Post Office,  25375 Steelhead Blvd., Duncans Mills, CA 95430
  • Marshall Post Office, 19200 Highway 1, Marshall, CA 94940
  • Camp Meeker Post Office, 5420 Bohemian Hwy., Camp Meeker, CA 95419

Olema mail is available for pick up at the Point Reyes Post Office, 11260 Hwy 1, Point Reyes, CA 94956.

Villa Grande mail is available for pick up at the Monte Rio Post Office, 19420 Highway 116, Monte Rio, CA 95462.

Guerneville Post Office will remain closed due to flood water damage to the interior. The Post Office will reopen no sooner than April 1 after repairs are complete.

Rural deliveries will resume for Guerneville customers starting Tuesday, March 5. However, Post Office Box customers will need to pick up their mail at the Occidental Post Office, 3805 Bohemian Hwy., Occidental, CA 95465. Guerneville customers who receive left notices can pick up their mail at the Occidental Post Office.

Customers with rural delivery are being asked to make sure their mail boxes are functional and serviceable so mail can be delivered.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
