Petaluma Hosts Free Hiring Event

PETALUMA, CA — Spring has sprung, but has your career? The Postal Service is a great place to work, with job security, career advancement opportunities and benefits. The San Francisco postal district is hiring for several positions and eager to have you on board.

The hiring event will be held Thursday, April 11th at the North Bay Processing and Distribution Center, located at 1150 N. Mcdowell Blvd., Petaluma, CA from 9:00 a.m.– noon.

Applicants will be guided through the online application process at on-site computer stations to submit for positions posted on www.usps.com/careers. A postal exam will also be held on the spot to help expedite applications and process qualified candidates for their next step towards becoming a proud member of the USPS team.

Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Some positions require an exam. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver license and clean DMV two-year driving history. Citizenship or permanent resident status for at least five years is required.

Applicants should bring a photo ID, valid driver’s license, Social Security Card or birth certificate; and males a Selective Service registration number. Veterans should bring their DD214 for veterans’ preference.
