SAN BERNARDINO, CA — Customers who want the safety and security of the U.S. Mail to submit personal data contained on tax documents must have the envelopes postmarked on or before April 15, 2019, to avoid late penalties.
The San Bernardino Processing & Distribution Center, located at 1900 W. Redlands Blvd., will be extending mail collection service until 8:00 p.m. on April 15 to accommodate last-minute tax filers. Mail being dropped must already have postage applied.
All other mail collection boxes and Post Office mail drops will be collected at their regular posted times on April 15.
All Post Office retail lobbies will adhere to their normal business hours on April 15. Individual Post Office service hours are available by visiting usps.com, or calling 1-800-ASK-USPS
(1-800-275-8777).
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
