Bay-Valley Postal District Looking for Future Career Employees

Oakland and Hayward hosts Free Hiring Events

SAN JOSE, CA — Whether it’s your first career or your next career the Postal Service is a great place to work, with job security, career advancement opportunities and benefits. The Bay-Valley postal district is hiring for several positions and eager to have you on board.

There will be two hiring events held next week from 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.

Wednesday, June 19: Oakland Civic Center Station, 201 13th St., Oakland, CA 94612

Thursday, June 20: Hayward Post Office, 24438 Santa Clara St., Hayward, CA 94544

Applicants will be guided through the online application process at on-site computer stations to submit for positions posted on www.usps.com/careers.

Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Some positions require an exam. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver license and clean DMV two-year driving history. Residency requirement for background checks.

Applicants should bring a photo ID, valid driver’s license, Social Security card or birth certificate; and males a Selective Service registration number. Veterans should bring their DD214 for veterans’ preference.
