The hiring event will be held Thursday, November 14th at the San Francisco Mail Processing Center located at 1300 Evans Ave., San Francisco, CA 94188 with one-hour time slots available from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Applicants will be guided through the entire online application process at on-site computer stations to submit for positions posted on www.usps.com/careers. Please allow one hour for this process.
Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Some positions do require an exam. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver license and clean DMV two-year driving history. Five year residency requirement is necessary for background checks.
Applicants should bring a photo ID, valid driver’s license, Social Security Card or birth certificate; and males a Selective Service registration number. Veterans should bring their DD214 for veterans’ preference.
New career hires start with excellent benefits, such as being covered by the Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) where they can contribute to a Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) – similar to a 401(k) plan, and get a 5 percent matching contribution by the USPS; Employees immediately have the option to enroll into the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) as well as automatic coverage in the Federal employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI).
