More than 2.5 billion pieces of mail, including 200 million packages, are expected to be processed and delivered during the week of December 16-22. Traditionally, what used to be the busiest day of the year has morphed into the “busiest week,” largely driven by an increase in online purchases.
“During the busiest time of the year, people get frazzled with all they have to do,” said Bay-Valley District Manager Darrel Stoke. “Providing the added convenience of more days and hours to bring us their mail is just one less thing they have to worry about. It’s all about Priority Yule!”
