USPS Hosts Free Hiring Event in Petaluma

PETALUMA, CA — This year, don’t just start a job-start a career! The Postal Service is a great place to work, with job security, career advancement opportunities and benefits. The San Francisco postal district is hiring for several positions available including Sonoma, Marin and Mendocino counties.

The hiring event will be held Thursday, February 27th at the Petaluma Community Center located at 320 N. McDowell Blvd., Petaluma, CA 94954 with one hour time slots available from 8:00am-2:00pm.

Applicants will be guided through the entire online application process at on-site computer stations to submit for positions posted on https://about.usps.com/careers. Please allow one hour for this process.

Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Some positions do require an exam. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver license and clean DMV 2-year driving history. Five year residency requirement is necessary for background checks.

Applicants should bring a photo ID, valid driver’s license, Social Security Card or birth certificate; and males a Selective Service registration number. Veterans should bring their DD214 for veterans’ preference.
