HAMILTON CITY, CA – On Tuesday, June 16, 2020 Adrianne Currier will follow a proud tradition dating back when Benjamin Franklin was the first Postmaster General of the United States.
Currier will raise her right hand to take the official oath of office as the new Hamilton City Postmaster at an 11:00 am ceremony at Hamilton City Post Office, 201 Main Street, Hamilton City, CA 95951. Manager of Post Office Operations Matthew Valdivia will administer the official oath of office.
Currier began her U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in Anderson, CA in 2012. In 2015, she began her management career supervising carriers and clerks in Redding, CA.
“I am extremely honored to be Postmaster of Hamilton City,” Currier said. “I aim to serve this community by providing them with stellar customer service by means of my expertly trained team of dedicated employees.”
Currier is married to husband Joe, they have two children, Bryan, 19, who is serving in U.S. Army and a daughter Mika, 11. Her mother is Sonia.
In 2009, Currier received her Associate of Arts degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Administration and Marketing. In 2011, she received her Bachelor of Science degree at the same institution in the same field of study. Currier is currently pursuing her Masters in this same field.
As Hamilton City Postmaster, Currier oversees more than 1,500 pieces of daily mail volume. In addition, Hamilton City services nearly 900 daily Post Office Box deliveries. Currier manages two employees and services a population of more than 1,700.
