Public meeting on proposed relocation of LA-Village Station Post Office July 9th

LOS ANGELES, CA — The U.S. Postal Service is considering relocating retail services previously provided at 11000 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90024 to 1001 Gayley Ave., Suite 105, Los Angeles, CA  90024.

The Postal Service is considering relocation because a fire destroyed the Wilshire location on May 6, 2017 and the property owner has not repaired the damage.  The Gayley location has acted as the Emergency Alternate Quarters since September 2017.  The Postal Service is proposing to make the Gayley property its permanent location.

A public meeting will be held to explain the proposal and hear comments at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the LA-Village Station Post Office lobby, 1001 Gayley Ave., Suite 105, Los Angeles, CA 90024.

Additionally, for 30 days after the public meeting, anyone may submit written comments to the address below for the Postal Service’s consideration prior to its final decision. Please submit written comments to:

Dean Cameron
Pacific Facilities Service Office
U.S. Postal Service
1300 Evans Ave. Ste. 200

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
