Final Decision on Proposed Relocation of Woodland Midtown Station Post Office

WOODLAND, CA — On November 20, 2020, the Postal Service discussed the proposal to relocate retail services currently provided at Woodland Midtown Station Post Office, located at 108 W. Main Street, Woodland, CA 95695 with former Mayor Lansburgh, via phone, and mailed over 16,000 Proposed Post Office Relocation Cards to Woodland residents. After carefully considering all of the concerns expressed, as well as in the appeals and comments received after the public card mailer, we have decided to proceed with the proposal. The Postal Service has initially identified 626 W. Lincoln Avenue, Woodland, CA 95695 as a suitable location.

The Postal Service has identified this new location because we have outgrown the current facility. The new facility will accommodate Woodland Midtown Station retail, letter carriers as well as the relocation of some of the letter carriers currently working out of the Woodland Main Post Office located at 720 Court Street, Woodland, CA 95695. The retail section at this Post Office will not be relocated.

When the new Post Office opens at this new location, the Postal Service anticipates providing the same services as are provided to our customers at the current location. The Postal Service plans to continue services at the existing Post Office until the replacement facility is open and operating as a Post Office, so there will be no service interruption.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
