Palm Springs Post Office to be relocated effective April 22

PALM SPRINGS, CA — The U.S. Postal Service will be moving the Palm Springs Post Office to a new location effective April 22, 2021. The Post Office currently located at 333 E Amado Rd will close on April 21, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. and will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24 at its new location, 333 N. Sunrise Way, Palm Springs.

P.O. Box customers will retain their P.O. Box numbers.

On April 22 and 23, retail services will be available at the following locations:

  • Palm Springs Smoke Tree Post Office – 1775 E Palm Canyon Dr. 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • North Palm Springs Post Office, 64117 Dillion Rd, North Palm Springs,
    8:30 – 11:30 a.m. ; 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Cathedral City Post Office, 33490 Date Palm Dr, Cathedral City, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

On Thursday, April 22 only, P.O. Box mail, parcels, and mail on hold can be picked up at the Smoke Tree location between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

P.O. Box mail, parcels, and mail on hold will be available on Friday, April 23 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with retail services available on Saturday, April 24 at 9:00 a.m. at the new location of 333 N. Sunrise Way. There will be no interruption of delivery to street addressed mail during the relocation.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
