The Fortuna Post Office celebrates a century of ‘History, Heritage & Honor’ of the Fortuna Rodeo with a special Pictorial Cancellation.

The USPS will be an exhibitor at the 2021 Fortuna Rodeo hosted by the Fortuna Rodeo Association. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase Heritage Breed and other amazing First-Class Stamps and receive a free pictorial cancellation with purchase. The cancellation will be available at the Fortuna Post Office for 30 days.

Background:

The Fortuna Rodeo first held in 1921 at Rohner Park has become a treasured staple in the Fortuna community and supported by the Fortuna Rodeo Association since 1951. Festivities such as a Parade, Carnival and games for all members of the family are key aspects of the week-long celebration.

Local Fortuna Artist Michael Zontos created the special pictorial postmark design which is also featured for the Fortuna Rodeo 100-year Anniversary.
