Bay Area offices looking to hire 1,000 people with an eye on the future
ALAMEDA, CA — With the sharp spike in online shopping and many residents depending on the delivery of essential goods, the Postal Service is ready to hire as many as 1000 people throughout the Bay Area including Alameda, Contra Costa and Solano Counties.
The Postal Service has the most sophisticated mail processing equipment and the best last-mile delivery networks in the world. USPS employees working the job fair will adhere to social distancing and mask wearing protocols. Mask and social distancing protocols are required for all attendees.
Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Some positions require an exam. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver license and clean DMV 2-year driving history. Citizenship or permanent resident status of five years is required.
