Regular mail delivery resumes after temporary closure due to wildfires
QUINCY, CA- The Chester Post Office, located at 218 Laurel Ln., Chester, CA 96020, will resume regular mail delivery and retail operations on August 24 after temporarily closing due to Dixie Fire spreading throughout Plumas County. Mail that was held at the Red Bluff Post Office for this office will be made available once again at the regular station.
Other Plumas County offices will remain closed in the area. Customers impacted by these closures may pick-up mail at alternative locations.
Customers retrieving mail at these sites are instructed to provide photo ID for mail pick-up.
Customers normally served by the following offices are directed to go to the Quincy Post Office, located at, 222 Lawrence St, Quincy, CA 95971. Hours for pick-up are Mon-Sat 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
