Lake Elsinore Post Office is on the Move

Will Be Opening in its New, Improved Location on Dec. 3

SAN DIEGO - The Lake Elsinore Post Office will be relocating its retail, PO Box and passport services to a new location on Friday, Dec. 3. Those services, currently provided out of the Lake Elsinore main postal facility at 500 W Graham Avenue, will be moving to an upgraded location dedicated to retail activity 2.5 miles away, at 31724 Casino Drive, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530.

The postal facility at 500 W Graham Avenue will be renovated to accommodate expanded Lake Elsinore mail carrier operations.

“This new facility will allow us to accommodate mail volume growth and to better serve our PO Box and retail customers,” said Lake Elsinore Postmaster Ruben Montes. ““This move demonstrates the Postal Service’s commitment to the city of Lake Elsinore and to every community in the U.S.”

In order to facilitate the move, the Lake Elsinore Post Office will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 2. During this closure, there will no access to its PO Boxes and retail operations will temporarily cease. Lake Elsinore customers seeking postal retail services on Dec. 2 should visit the Wildomar Post Office, the nearest alternate USPS facility.

The retail hours of the relocated Lake Elsinore Post Office will remain the same, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Passport services, including photo services, will be available by appointment during the facility’s retail hours.

“As outlined in USPS’s Delivering for America plan, we are modernizing and continually adapting to the changing needs of our customers,” said Montes. “Our customers are priority one, whether they’re located in the biggest cities or smaller communities such as Lake Elsinore.”

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
