SAN DIEGO — The U.S. Postal Service’s La Jolla Village post office has been temporarily closed due to safety concerns arising from damage caused by water leaks within the leased facility.

The office, located at 8861 Villa La Jolla Drive, Suite 505, La Jolla CA 92037, will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

During this closure, customers who normally receive their mail via PO Box at the La Jolla Village facility can pick up their mail at the La Jolla Main Post Office, located at 1140 Wall Street, La Jolla CA 92037. Customers are reminded to bring proper photo identification for mail and package pickups.

The La Jolla Main Post Office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies entirely on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
