Background:

On Thursday, June 2nd, in her 23rd year as a postal employee, Renee Anaya will be sworn in as Arvin Postmaster.

Anaya began her postal career in Wasco, CA as a Letter Carrier in 1999. She began her management career in Porterville, CA. She has also worked in Wofford Heights, CA and Richgrove, CA before her promotion to Arvin, CA.

“It is an honor to be selected as Postmaster of Arvin,” Anaya said. “Being postmaster is very special to me because I get to bring my passion to work every day and make a difference. I will do my utmost to serve our community and provide a good work environment for my employees.”

Anaya enjoys reading, doing puzzles, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and going to church. She is married to Ronald Anaya. They have three children, Martin 30, Roman, 27 and Benjamin, 25.

As Arvin Postmaster, Anaya oversees over 11,000 pieces of mail delivered daily, while servicing over 400 Post Office Box deliveries. She manages 15 employees, seven postal routes with a population of over 22,000.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
