Background:

Carolyn Gillette will be officially installed as the Paradise Postmaster.  The public is invited to attend this ceremonial event. 

Gillette is a 24-year postal employee who previously worked as a supervisor customer service at the Elk Grove Post office.

“Live like there is no tomorrow, laugh until your belly hurts, and love with all your heart and soul,” said Gillette. “We lost approximately 12,000 deliveries during the Camp Fire. The town of Paradise is re-building and growing.  It’s truly an honor and a privilege to service the Paradise community.”

As Paradise Postmaster, Gillette supervises 31 postal employees, delivers to three city routes, three rural routes and 10 Highway Contract Routes.

Gillette loves to travel, meet new people, learn new cultures and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
