Huntington Beach, CA — Hector Vasquez was among 18 postmasters recently sworn into office by Area Vice President, Eduardo Ruiz in a ceremony held in Yorba Linda, on June 9, 2022.
The title of Postmaster, at one time a politically appointed position, is only granted to those employees who demonstrate the highest level of commitment to the Postal Service and to the millions of customers we serve nationwide. They oversee all aspects of local retail and delivery operations for the Postal Service in their local community.
Under the Postmaster General’s Delivering for America plan, Postmaster Vasquez will help to usher the Postal Service into a new era focused on reliability, consistency, affordability, dependability, and sound financial management.
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
