Lake Elsinore Resident to Manage USPS Retail & Delivery Services
LAKE ELSINORE – Elizabeth Flores was recently named the Postmaster of the Lake Elsinore Post Office.
She replaces former Lake Elsinore Postmaster Craig Simmons, who retired.
As Lake Elsinore Postmaster, Flores supervises 65 employees and oversees retail services at the Lake Elsinore Post Office and the daily distribution of mail on 23 delivery routes and to 1,800 PO Boxes at his facility.
Flores is a 24-year postal employee who began her career as a mailhandler and previously served as the postmaster of the Fallbrook Post Office.
“I’m excited to take on this new challenge,” said Flores. “It’s truly an honor and a privilege to step into this position. I hope to continue the Postal Service’s legacy of outstanding customer service and to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
“As outlined in USPS’s Delivering for America plan, we are modernizing and continually adapting to the changing needs of our customers. Our customers are priority one, whether they’re located in the biggest cities or smaller communities such as Lake Elsinore.
“I want to thank my family and my postal managers for their support and guidance over the years. I’m also grateful to the leadership team at the USPS San Diego District office for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.”
Flores was born in Hawthorne and currently resides in Lake Elsinore. She is a graduate of Granada Hills High School and the University of Alaska.
Flores’ hobbies include bike rides and spending time with her family.
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations
