Background:

On Friday, in her 6th year as a postal employee, Lisa Conners will be sworn in as Taft Postmaster.

Conners began her postal career in 2016 as a Clerk in Taft CA.  She was selected as a Supervisor in Taft in 2018 prior to her promotion as Postmaster.

The Postal Service is continually innovating to provide first-class service which can be seen in the Postmaster General’s Delivering for America 10-Year Plan.”

Conners enjoys shopping, baking and visiting beach cities with husband Christopher and daughters, Addison Belle and London. 

As Taft Postmaster, Conners oversees over 31,000 pieces of mail delivered daily while also servicing over 900 Post Office Box deliveries.  She manages 21 employees and oversees 8 postal routes to serve a population of more than 9,000.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
