Simpson began her postal career 32 years ago as a clerk, shortly after graduating high school.

After transiting from a clerk to a letter carrier, a position she worked in for many years, Simpson participated in the Postal Service’s ASP Supervisor program and successfully graduated in 2000. As a result, she went on the obtain positions as a supervisor at the Industry Processing and Distribution Center, Pomona/Diamond and Walnut Post Offices. Her career aspirations subsequently lead her to various Officer in Charge positions overseeing operations at the Ontario, La Puente, La Verne and Rancho Cucamonga Post Offices before obtaining postmaster positions at the Glendora (2014) and Pomona (2022) Post Offices. She has also earned her bachelor’s degree in science in Criminal Justice from the University of Los Angeles.

As the postmaster of Pomona, Simpson is committed to serving the communities of Pomona and Diamond Bar diligently and she understands the importance of building strong relationships.

Simpson will manage an office with 175 employees and 100 delivery routes. There are over 80,471 delivery points between Pomona and Diamond Bar.

Simpson enjoys gardening and spending as much time as possible with her family. She is married to Michael, and they have three children together: Ryan, Jack and Jill.

The Postal Service is continually innovating to provide first-class service which can be seen in the Postmaster General’s Delivering for America, the Postal Service’s bold and innovative 10-Year Plan.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
