Background:

On Thursday, in her twenty eighth year as a postal employee, Aline Conrad will be sworn in as Chatsworth Postmaster.

Aline began her postal career in 1994 as a casual carrier working at the Oxnard Post Office.  She received her first promotion into management in 2000 when she was selected as the Associate Supervisor of Customer Service in Long Beach.  Between the years of 2002 to present day, Aline has progressed in her career bearing additional titles such as Supervisor Customer Service, Malibu and Manager of Customer Service in Newbury Park.  She has been acting in the position of Officer-In-Charge of the Chatsworth Post Office since August of 2021 prior to her promotion as Postmaster.

The Postal Service is continually innovating to provide first-class service which can be seen in the Postmaster General’s Delivering for America 10-Year Plan.

Aline enjoys traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with her husband Karl, son Lukas and daughter Ellie Conrad.

As Chatsworth Postmaster, Aline oversees over 50,000 pieces of mail delivered daily while also servicing over 1,000 Post Office Box deliveries. She manages 59 employees and oversees 27 postal routes to serve a population of more than 50,000.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
