Manages USPS Services for Coachella, Thermal & Salton City
COACHELLA – Susie Good was recently named the Postmaster of the Coachella Post Office.
She replaces former Coachella Postmaster Janet Mixon, who moved on to another postal facility.
As Coachella Postmaster, Good supervises 40 employees and oversees retail services at the Coachella Post Office and the daily distribution of mail on 17 delivery routes in Coachella, Thermal and Salton City and to 1,700 PO Boxes at her facility.
Good is a 35-year postal employee who began her career as a clerk and most recently served as the postmaster of the North Palm Springs Post Office.
“I’m excited and honored to have been selected for this opportunity,” said Good. “As a lifelong resident of the Coachella Valley, this job is a homecoming of sorts.
“I hope to work closely with Coachella community leaders in order to facilitate the Postal Service’s legacy of outstanding customer service and to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
“As outlined in USPS’s Delivering for America plan, we are modernizing and continually adapting to the changing needs of our customers. Our customers are priority one, whether they’re located in the biggest cities or smaller communities such as Coachella, Thermal and Salton City.
“I want to express my gratitude to my family for their support and encouragement throughout my career, and to the leadership team at the USPS San Diego District office for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.”
Good was born, raised and currently resides in the Coachella Valley. She is a graduate of Coachella Valley High School.
Good’s hobbies include spending time with her family and gardening.
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
