On Thursday, Loyola, a 23-year postal employee will raise his right hand and follow a tradition dating back to 1892 when Alexander Fraser first became Postmaster of what would be the Santa Clarita Post Office.

As outlined in the USPS Delivering for America plan, the postal service is committed to modernizing and continually adapting to the evolving needs of all customers. As the postmaster of Santa Clarita, Loyola is prepared to meet those needs.

“I am honored to represent the City of Santa Clarita as Postmaster. I take great pride in my job,” said Loyola “I will strive to make sure all my employees are safe, and that Santa Clarita customers receive great customer service.”

Loyola began his postal career in 2000 as a casual carrier in Mission Hills. Throughout his career he served in many different roles before stepping into management in 2014. Loyola was then promoted to his most recent role as the Postmaster of Sun Valley in 2018.

Loyola resides in Palmdale, CA where he enjoys spending time with his family including wife Vicky, and daughters Giselle, Isabella, and Arianna.

In his spare time Loyola enjoys restoring his 1964 Lincoln Continental.

As the Postmaster of Santa Clarita, Loyola supervises 302 employees and oversees the retail services and the daily distribution of mail to 99,063 delivery stops, 157 routes, 7,021 Post Office Boxes to a community of over 228,673 residents.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
