Background:

A key component to the US Postal Services Delivering for America Plan involves crating a stable and engaged workforce.  While the USPS is always on the lookout for new talent, we have made great strides in stabilizing our workforce by converting 100,000 part time employees to career positions over the past two years.  These hardworking men and women are working tirelessly to make sure your holiday arrives on time.

Clerks – Clerks are our distribution specialist.  They often start work at three or four in the morning to sort packages and distribute the mail that carriers deliver each day.

Carriers – The Carriers you see walking through your neighborhoods every day begin their shift sorting letters and filling their trucks with packages.  Susan Shishido is not only an amazing carrier, but she is also one of South Bay’s premiere Carrier Academy instructors.  Susan will be happy to walk you through her morning routine.
