Postal Elf demonstrates how to properly prepare your package in time for Military Deadlines
What:
Last Christmas you bought your mom a scarf, but the very next day you mailed it without writing her zip code. This year, to save you from tears we’ll teach you how to properly prepare your package.
With more and more people shopping and shipping online, the United States Postal Service is ready to deliver holiday packages to loved ones near and far, especially those serving in our military or overseas. The first step is to make sure your package is properly packed and addressed before you bring it to the Post Office.
U.S. Postal Service Fairfield Postmaster Lynnette Hill is prepared to demonstrate how to properly prepare your package this season. She will be joined by a special guest from the Travis Air Force Base to demonstrate how critical shipping the perfect package is for loved ones in the military and international destinations.

Busiest Mailing and Delivery Days
The busiest time of the year begins two weeks before Christmas. It’s expected that customer traffic at all Post Office locations will steadily increase beginning the week of Dec. 5. The week of Dec. 12-17 is anticipated to be the busiest mailing, shipping, and delivery week.
