Alternative Pick-up Services Available for Impacted Customers
GASQUET, CA - The Gasquet Post Office located at 10360 US Highway 199 Gasquet, CA 95543 has temporarily closed after sustaining significant building damage caused by a contract truck crashing into the Post Office early Saturday morning.
No one was inside the building at the time of the crash.
Retail and mail pick-up services will be provided at an alternative pick-up location.
Retail services and P.O. Box mail pick-up will be available effective Monday, March 13, at the Smith River Post Office, located at 291 N Fred Haight Dr, Smith River, CA 95567.
Hours of operation are Monday- Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and additional hours for mail pick-up only on Saturday 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Customers are asked to please present photo ID for mail pick-up.
Gasquet customers normally served by street delivery will not be impacted by this temporary relocation and will continue to receive home delivery.
The Postal Service sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience customers may experience and we remain committed to delivering to our communities daily.
This is an actively evolving situation, and we greatly appreciate the patience of our customers during this unforeseen emergency relocation.
