Saturday Event is First Step for Those Planning International Summer Travel
What:
The Rancho Del Rey Post Office in Chula Vista is hosting a Passport Fair, at which postal employees will accept applications for new U.S. passports.
“Now that COVID-19 concerns have declined and nations are welcoming back travelers, many Chula Vista residents are eager to get out and see the world,” said Chula Vista Postmaster Henry Roberson. “For anyone planning to travel internationally this summer, the first step is to get a passport. We’ll be here on Mar. 18 to help them with that.
“The purpose of this event is to make the process of applying for new passports easy for residents of Chula Vista and San Diego as a whole. A lot of people, especially those with schoolchildren, don’t have the time during the week to visit a post office to submit their passport applications.
“My postal clerks and I are coming into the office on a Saturday to help customers who want to get a head start on their summer international travel plans.”
