Second Hiring Center in the District introduces in new way to hire
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The Postal Service hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome jobseekers into its second full-service hiring center in its Postal District. Applicants ready to start a Postal career can now walk-in to the San Francisco Main Post Office, 1300 Evans Ave., San Francisco, CA 94188 and apply with no appointment necessary.
This hiring center will serve as a one-stop shop for applicants to submit their applications, receive assistance by postal staff, and submit fingerprints in real time Monday-Friday from
9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 1300 Evans Ave., San Francisco, CA.
Nearly a thousand positions are available across the Bay Area with hundreds of opportunities available directly in San Francisco. This unique postal hiring center is a new approach to make applying for a position easy, accessible, and convenient for jobseekers.
“This full-service hiring center will not only offer easy, consistent access to applying for a postal career, it is a dedicated effort by the Postal Service to innovate our hiring process and adapt to the needs of our future employees by streamlining the process to start their career. Job seekers in the South Bay can walk-in Monday- Friday to the first hiring center opened this spring at the Willow Glen Post Office, 1750 Meridian Ave., San Jose, CA 95125.
There is an immediate need for the following positions to be filled:
Salaries vary by position, Career City Carriers start at over $22 per hour, $67,912 starting salary for Automotive Technicians and over $30 per hour for our Tractor Trailer Operators. Career positions include full federal benefits for individuals and families. All positions include opportunities for career development, growth, and training.

Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Some positions require an exam. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver license and clean DMV 2-year driving history. Citizenship or permanent resident status of five years is required.
