On Friday, August 25th in her sixth year as a postal employee, Kathy Miller will be sworn in as Groveland Postmaster. She will follow in steps of the first Groveland Postmaster Minnie Ferretti installed in 1928.

Miller began her postal career in Groveland, CA in 2017 as a Sales Associate. In 2019, she began her management training. In 2022, she worked as Officer-In-Charge in Coulterville, CA and in Groveland from December 2022, until her promotion in June 2023.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be Postmaster of this great community, following in the footsteps of leaders that preceded me,” Miller said. “My goal is to continue providing top-notch customer service by means of my expertly trained staff. The Postal Service aims to provide first-class service which can be seen in the PMG’s Delivering for America 10-Year Plan,” she said.

Miller enjoys the outdoors, such as camping and spending time with her husband, Wayne Miller. She volunteers with the Highway 120 Chamber of Commerce. She is three-time winner of the local chili cook-off competition, and she likes to participate in the annual trunk or treat. In addition to volunteering at Camp Tuolumne Trails, she and her husband dress up as Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the Groveland Kids Christmas event.

As Groveland Postmaster, Miller also oversees Big Oak Flat Post Office. Combined, both post offices receive over 3,200 pieces of mail delivered daily while also servicing nearly 900 Post Office Box deliveries. She manages four employees, five postal routes, with a population of over 3,500.
