Customers impacted by mandatory evacuations may come to local Post Office for mail
YREKA, CA — Mandatory evacuations due to a fast-moving wildfire in Siskiyou County has resulted in delivery impacts for some evacuated customers served by the Seiad Valley and Scotts Bar Post Offices. Customers impacted by these evacuations and limited delivery access may retrieve their mail at a designated alternative post office.
Customers are instructed to provide photo ID for all mail pick-up.
Customers normally served by the Seiad Valley Post Office, can pick-up their mail at the Happy Camp Post Office located at 33 Davis Rd, Happy Camp, CA hours are Mon-Fri 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Customers normally served by the Scotts Bar Post Office, can pick-up their mail at the Fort Jones Post Office located at 11954 Main St, Fort Jones CA, hours for pick-up are Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
This is a rapidly changing situation, and the USPS is proud to serve our local communities. We ask for patience as we hold our solemn duties to provide the safest, fastest, and most efficient method of providing mail service to our residents.
