Background:

On Thursday, November 9th, in his 17th year as a postal employee, Xavier Salazar will be sworn in as Cutler Postmaster.

Salazar began his postal career in Kingsburg, CA in 2006 as a letter carrier. He began his management career in the same office in 2015. In 2017, he was Officer-in-Charge at Fowler Post Office, later became Mendota Postmaster in 2018 until his current assignment as Cutler Postmaster.

“It’s a great honor to serve Cutler as their new Postmaster. In my years with USPS, I have seen firsthand the role the Postal Service plays in connecting neighbors and our community to the nation. Our Cutler Post Office serves as a lifeline for our small businesses to reach customers no matter where they are,” Salazar said.

Salazar enjoys cooking and traveling. He shares his life with his girlfriend, Theresa Mendoza, his two sons, Antonio and Joshua, his daughter-in-law Diana, and his grandchildren, Alex, Eyan, and Eliana. He resides in Sanger, CA.

As Cutler Postmaster, Salazar oversees nearly 3,000 pieces of mail delivered daily while also servicing over 1,000 Post Office Box deliveries. He manages four employees, two postal routes with a population of over 5,000.
