Grizzly Flats Post Office Reopens January 31st

Official Grand Re-Opening Ceremony to be Held on February 23rd

GRIZZLY FLATS, CA — The United States Postal Service is pleased to announce the re-opening of the Grizzly Flats Post Office, located at 4991 Sciaroni Road, Grizzly Flats, CA 95636. The office was destroyed in the devastating 2021 Caldor Fire.

Grizzly Flats will resume operations and welcome the community back on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. “Our reopening is not just a restoration of postal services, but a profound symbol of our community’s resilience and unwavering spirit in the face of adversity,” Grizzly Flats Postmaster Alicia Leech said.

The official grand opening celebration will take place next month on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 10:00 am at the above location with postal and congressional officials.

As of Wednesday, January 31, 2024, customers can now begin to retrieve mail and make postal transactions at the above address. Hours are: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday.
