Lucerne Valley Post Office to Host Passport Fairs Feb 24 & Mar 23

Summer Travelers Advised to Submit Their New Passport Applications ASAP

What:

The Lucerne Valley Post Office is hosting a pair of Passports Fairs over the next six weeks. Postal employees at these events will accept applications for new U.S. passports.

“Now that we’re two months into the year, the thoughts of many Victor Valley residents have turned to making summer travel plans,” said Lucerne Valley Postmaster Rene’e Page. “Those planning international travel should plan ahead and submit their passport applications ASAP. The U.S. Passport Agency currently estimates that it will take from six to eight weeks to process new passport applications.

“Our Lucerne Valley Post Office doesn’t normally provide weekend passport acceptance services, but we’re doing it on these two days to make the process of applying for new passports easy for residents of Lucerne Valley and Victor Valley as a whole. A lot of people, especially those with schoolchildren, don’t have the time during the week to visit a post office to submit their passport applications.

“My postal clerks and I are planning this event and coming into the office on these Saturdays to help customers who want to get a head start on their 2024 international travel plans.”
