CLEARLAKE, CA — Are you planning to make this summer vacation a splash?  If you plan to set sail to an international destination you will need to secure your passport ahead of time.  

On Saturday, May 25th from 9:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. the Clearlake Post Office located at 14500 Olympic Drive, Clearlake, CA 95422 will host a Passport Fair to make it easier for you to pack your bags and plan your next fantastic voyage.

Customers attending the fair will have the opportunity to complete passport services including photos on a first-come-first served basis during the fair hours 9:30- 12:30.

If you’re unable to attend the fair you can always book an appointment for a time during regular service hours Monday- Friday using the online retail customer appointment scheduler.  

To help make the process as smooth as possible, applicants are asked to fill out application forms ahead of time. Forms and fee information can be found on the Postal Service website or on the U.S. Department of State website.

Customers can also obtain passport information by phone, in English and Spanish, by calling the National Passport Information Center toll-free at (877) 487-2778.

To apply for a passport, applicants need a valid form of photo identification and proof of citizenship.

Proof of identification — You may submit items such as the following containing your signature and a photograph that is a good likeness of you: Current or previous U.S. passport, naturalization certificate, certificate of citizenship or a current and valid driver’s license, government ID or military ID.

**A photocopy of the identification - front and back – must be submitted with your passport application.

Proof of citizenship includes any one of the following:

1. Certified birth certificate issued by the city, county, or state
2. Naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship, and
3. An expired passport

**The customer must submit a photocopy of the front and back of the Proof of Citizenship.
